General Summary :

Analyst I: Under the direction of the portfolio manager, Quantitative Domestic Equities, develop, maintain and manage quantitative data; perform quantitative research, assist with management of quantitative portfolios, and complete special projects as needed supporting the Domestic Equities staff.

A nalyst II: Under the direction of the portfolio manager, Quantitative Domestic Equities, develop, maintain and manage databases, perform quantitative research, assist with management of quantitative portfolios, and complete special projects as needed supporting the Domestic Equities staff.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

Analyst I:

  1. Manage existing and assist in creating new quantitative data used in research and management of equity investments.
  2. Update, manage and develop reporting on equity SharePoint site.
  3. Assist with research projects for fundamental equity investments.
  4. Assist with the day to day management of quantitative portfolios, as needed.
  5. Prepare special projects as directed.

A nalyst II:

  1. Manage existing and create new quantitative data used in research and management of equity investments.
  2. Conduct research project for fundamental equity investments.
  3. Update, manage and develop reporting on equity SharePoint site.
  4. Assist with day to day management of quantitative portfolios.
  5. Prepare special projects as directed.
Required Skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

A nalyst I:

  1. Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in quantitatively oriented field preferred.
  2. One to three years' experience in quantitative investment research strongly preferred.
  3. Successful completion of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level I recommended.
  4. Thorough knowledge and familiarity with economics, finance and statistics.
  5. Ability to research and analyze data and make valid conclusions.
  6. General knowledge and experience with databases, SQL Server preferred.
  7. General knowledge and experience of software development techniques and programming in relevant statistical/analytical software such as R or SAS.
  8. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  9. Ability to work well with minimal direct supervision.
  10. Excellent work record of attendance and punctuality; occasional evening, weekend and non-regular work hours required.

  6. Thorough knowledge and experience with databases, preferably SQL Server.
